Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens......

Well i guess im now officially a modern mom. I have a blog. Driven to purge my desperate thoughts to page by one year of sleep deprivation, cold meals, no alone time, a ghost of a sex life, no memory capacity, blah blah..you know the drill. Nothing i am feeling or experiencing is new or different or unique from any other parent down thru the ages.....its just that its happening to me now. So i swear....no celebrity like indulgences of "How motherhood has changed my life" or "Made me a better person" or "Now i know the secrets to the universe".

Im learning i know little of nothing. But im coming to terms with my stupidity. At least im entertaining the troops....my one year old thinks im hilarious.

My child, who im going to refer to as wolverine (for various reasons) is almost 13 months old. Which by the way, when can i stop referring to his age in months?? Is there some rule of etiquette on this???

So FridayPlaygroup.....my oasis...my weekly pick me up....my reminder that im not in this war alone. And now there is a place to post updates about schedules or questions on things like "why wont my child stop biting me" or whatever.

Today im going to lament my current drama (each week brings on a new one, right?). My child will not stop biting me. Nursing has come to a screeching halt. We just cant seem to make it happen. Hopefully this will work itself out. Ive considered everything ..Maybe he is teething and feeling badly....maybe ive traumatized him when i scream like a banshee when he bites me so he is on a nursing strike.....maybe those big teeth are just in the way.......whatever the reason im just about at the end of my rope. Thank God for my sister who is the research queen for giving me some reassurances that this is not unheard of...and for giving me positive encouragement. She is right......this does not have to signal the end of nursing...Me and the baby are both still willing and wanting to nurse...we just are in a stooper right now....eventually it has to work out, right?????
