Frakkin' Friday.....

aaahhh...A perfect evening....Good pasta, good wine, good sleeping baby, good hubby who brought home cheese sticks and Frakkin' good Battlestar Galactica. A perfect combo to take the week out with. It may not sound like much to some of you, but i cant imagine spending the evening any other way.

Isnt it funny how parenthood lowers the bar for a good time?!!! Now if i can just get a good nights sleep......

Wonder Boobs Activate....

Alright ladies.....your help is needed again...

Dear Supporter,

Tomorrow (Wednesday, February 22) our bill is on Consent Orders in the Senate. Although by definition this means opposition is not expected, there is the possibility of amendment. In fact, it could be the case that particular groups may ask for amendments specifying exceptions or special instructions for their particular circumstances. Without the ability to explain such situations here, imagine an affected group asking that the bill be amended to: exempt their particular establishments or to outline alternative requirements for that situation only. By mandating special provisions for specific circumstances, this could create an unfunded mandate for those specific environments.

Please contact your Senator immediately with the following message: "Please pass SB 106: An Act Related to Breastfeeding without amendments meant to specify accommodations for specific environments." Feel free to express why this is a bad idea (see my comments above or share your own opinion). Find your Senator's email here: http://www.lrc.ky.gov/whoswho/email.htm.

Thank you for your continued support. It has taken all of us to get our bill this far and it will take all of us to get it through without amendments of this nature!

All I Want For Christmas is my two front teeth....

Well i broke a tooth tonight. First time that has happened. Its one of the bottom front teeth, but you cant really tell because its the back that broke off. Weird. I have no idea how it happened. I was talking to the wolverine and the next thing i know there are pieces of my tooth in my mouth. Weird. I guess its a good think i work with a dentist. Tomorrow should be alot of fun. Will someone come massage my hands and arms while i get my dental work done? Who massages the massage therapist???!!!!

I think my mom has this problem. Crumbling teeth. One day they are fine and the next a piece chips off. Great. Also evidently in the dental world there is a saying "You lose one tooth for every child you have." I dont like those stats. As if i dont have enough to grumble about. Now i have to worry about my teeth falling out. Weird.

The wolverine bit me today and i realized he hadnt done that in over a week. That made me happy. He is using so many words. And for some reason he already seems to have a funky southern accent. He has started saying "hi" but its more like "hiiii".

THANKS MELINDA for those great pictures of playgroup. We should start an album...oooh...or a dvd...combine it with the video some of us have taken. A fun momento.

MOVIE REVIEW OF THE WEEK:
We rented War of the Worlds this weekend. I give it a B for a popcorn flick. It pulled several moments from the original which was cool. They could have ditched the subplot with Tim Robbins...that was totally unneccessary. And poor Dakota spent the entire movie looking progressively more terrified and filthy. I bet that was no fun to film. Tom Cruise did his usual three faces of acting. It worked. I liked seeing him as just a normal person and not some superhero or ultra cool guy. That is the nice thing about this story...the hero does not defeat the bad guy....Sidenote: The boy playing Cruises son was a doll. If I were 12 his poster would be all over my room.
