Boob Solidarity!!!!

Alright nursing mothers here is your chance to let your voice be heard and make a difference in the future of nursing mothers in Kentucky.

Here is an update on the Nursing Bill and they need our SUPPORT...for all you moms that nurse in public this is especially important. Dont just take it for granted that you can whip out the boob anywhere and feed or comfort your child. If you do it enough you know that eventually you will get flack for it. We need to ensure a supportive environment for our new mommys to encourage them to nurse. We all know its what is best for our babies......and it makes it easier when you dont have to worry about getting harrassed when nursing in public. So send in those emails and phone calls.

This morning Doraine Bailey and I joined Senator Buford to testify for our bill at the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting in Frankfort. We each talked about why we feel that this is an important issue not only for ourselves but also on behalf of this bill's supporters. The Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to send SB 106 to the Senate floor for a vote.

While this is our first big victory, our bill has a long way to go before becoming a law. Please call your senator to ask him/her to support this bill when it comes up for vote. There is no way of knowing when it will come up, so call or email soon.

this message to (insert the name of your Senator). I am calling in support of SB 106, An
Act Relating to Breastfeeding Bill. We need this legislation because __________ and
it is important to me because __________. I'm asking for you to vote yes when it comes up for the vote."

Mama Mia....

Yaaaay!!!! Mom is here for the week.....like an angel from heaven. The hubby leaves for a short trip tomorrow so she is here just in time. The wolverine loves Grandmother. She is chasing him around the apartment and he is squealing with joy. He has started using words and attaching them to objects and actions. His first real association was "shoe".....except he says it more like "shows". Now thanks to Daddy he also konws "shush"...and if he squeals too loudly he will then follow it with "shush". Grandmother taught him "touch" ...which has become his favorite word. He wants to be picked up so he can "touch" everything. Mommy is responsible for him saying penis and nipple.....i want him to know the correct words not some silly nickname.

OK..short entry....we need to go grocery shopping. And i think the wolverine is wearing out Grandmother....we have 5 more days to go so I cant let her tire out already. IM hoping she will be at playgroup this Friday if she isnt baby'd out by then.
